ishowpro ex (expanded to allow all galleries)
ishowpro is a popular tool for displaying an iphone compatible version of slideshowpro content. Till now ishowpro only allowed you to display one gallery at a time. I needed a little more so I added to the code to allow all galleries in a director install to be displayed. Here is the link to the zip.
iShowPro is not an official product of SlideShowPro or Dominey Design Inc. I am not the Developer nor do I support or guarantee this script. I am merely showing what can be done to add to an existing application as a demonstration or proof of concept.

Wow this looks promising!
Having some trouble, I’m getting a long time out then-
Error encountered when trying to connect to Director: couldn’t connect to host
I know is not related to your work but thought maybe you had some insight
Thanks

@eric, I can’t get your link to load, is there anything other than the script running at that link?, have you tied placing an arbitrary page there to test the server connection?

Again thanks so much for the response.
No nothing else in the director other than your modified ishowpro.
I think it has something to do with my use of Apache mod_rewrite with a SEF component with a .htaccess file but I’m not sure what to do.
I tried a test site I have set up locally without any rewriting going on and everything works great.
I wonder If I can exclude a directory in .htaccess ??

Nevermind the previous post.
If I use the private IP for the path to the Director directory i.e. 192.168.0.11 vs the name it works??
I’m really confused now

Could be an htaccess issue, try this, rename the .htaccess file and access the directory with the domain name, If that works then set the file back to .htaccess and exclude the iphone directory from the modifications. That may solve the issue, If you are unable to do that then add a .htaccess file to the iphone directory and turn mod_rewrite off in that file.
Thanks for sharing your experience, I’m sure this will help out some people.

Thanks again for the info.
I’m thinking it has nothing to do with the rewrite or .htaccess
If I use the private IP address vs the domain name for the path to the Director directory it works.

Hello, I am the developer of iShowPro. What you’ve done looks great. I’m releasing a fix for the latest Director, today. We’re also working on a totally new version that will work with iPad too. Thanks for your support!
